Introduction to the Practice of Biomimicry

This interactive online course has been specifically developed for professionals, students, and others new to biomimicry who want to take the first step in developing a practice in biomimicry. The self-paced course is taught by Biomimicry 3.8 co-founder Dr. Dayna Baumeister who guides students through:

  • the core biomimicry philosophy,
  • key elements of biomimicry,
  • what makes a biomimicry case study,
  • a review of the process of integrating biology into design,
  • an introduction to Life’s Principles, and
  • next steps for connecting with nature and other practitioners.

Through audio, video, and illustration, Dayna and other practicing biomimics provide in-depth analysis of real-world examples of biomimicry and offer tips on how to put biomimicry tools to work in any discipline.
